Scientists Conduct Unprecedented Nose Shape Survey

In 2011, a scientific researcher named Abraham Tamir conducted the first ever nose survey of its kind. He systematically visited shopping centers across Europe and Israel and took 1,300 pictures of people’s noses. He then grouped them together according to type and found 14 different nose types. (The study was somewhat limited, however, because it was conducted primarily across a Caucasian base. More types might have been revealed had Tamir visited Asia or Africa, for instance.) Nevertheless, the study was an interesting survey, especially for those considering a nose job in Beverly Hills. The 14 different nose types outlined by the study can guide you and your plastic surgeon in choosing the shape of nose you want or the work you choose to have done.

If you are getting a nose job in Beverly Hills, you might be interested to know that the type of nose considered most attractive is the snub nose. However, society tends to view people with snub noses as less mature than others. The most common type of nose, particularly on men, is the fleshy nose, such as Prince Philip’s nose. In fact, 75% of people surveyed had this type of nose. If you want a nose job in Beverly Hills that will give you a classical look, consider “The Duchess” nose, as exhibited by Kate Middleton. This type is straight and often used in paintings and other art work.

Other types of noses of are thin and pointed, Roman, Greek, aquiline, celestial, and broad with large nostrils. Many people who get a nose job in Beverly Hills do so because they have what is considered an unattractive type of nose like the bulbous, hawk, or undefined types. There are two extremely rare nose types. Richard Nixon’s broad, flat, and wide-nostrilled nose is found on only about 1% of the general populace, and Tara Palmer-Tompkinson has a snub nose with a bump that is found on 1 in 1,300 people. Of course, a nose job in Beverly Hills does have some limitations due to the fact that your natural nose will still be the defining factor in how you look after the procedure.

Still, as you prepare for your surgery and meet with your plastic surgeon, you can consider these 14 types as you visualize how you might like your own nose shape can be altered. In Beverly Hills, plastic surgeon Dr. Justin Yovino has a keen eye for facial aesthetics and can guide your final decision so that your nose job holds no unpleasant surprises for you, but rather, will provide you with the look that you wish to have.
